Founded in 1954, arc San Joaquin is a nonprofit organization that today provides vocational, educational, and recreational programs to more than 200 individuals in 3 adult day programs, vocational services and a recreation program. 

arc San Joaquin was first established in an effort to respond to the unanswered service needs of children with developmental disabilities and their families. Over the years, federal and state legislation has expanded to provide services and educational opportunities for children with developmental disabilities, and arc San Joaquin focused on adults in need of community-based programs after transitioning from the public school system.  

After more than half a century of service, arc San Joaquin continues to be an innovative, person-centered organization supporting persons with developmental disabilities, working with their families and the community to provide opportunities for each consumer to set goals and make choices to enhance their quality of life.
