The Arc San Joaquin services are designed to provide assistance in the following areas:

Employment Services – These services are for The Arc San Joaquin clients looking for employment and for employers seeking a new hire(s).

Clients:
Customized Assessment & Employment Plan Design
Pre-hire job success classes
Job Placement for individuals or small groups
Ongoing job coaching and counseling
Coordination with families, service coordinators and other providers

Employers:
Temporary and permanent placement without fees
Ongoing employee job coaching
Tax break and other incentive assistance
Diversity training

 

Skills Training and Education – These services are for individuals seeking to explore and achieve increasing levels of independence. Three adult programs are situated throughout Stockton.

Customized assessment and plan design
Adult living skills adaptation
Assistance with daily care needs
Communication systems design & use
Community leisure recreation activities
Introduction to employment skills
Coordination with families, service coordinators and other providers

 

Senior Services – Senior activities are slow paced yet focus on individual interest to improve independence, communication and other adult living skills.

Center-based and community leisure recreation activities

Community Training Services – The adult day programs provide transportation, activity planning and assistance to be part of the general community.

Recreation – Recreational activities are planned and provided on weeknights and weekends.

Meet other people with similar recreation interests

Advocacy – The Arc San Joaquin promotes and acts on behalf of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
